Service guidelines

This public area is tailored to provide general guidelines in the implementation of this kind of service in Europe. The purpose of this area is:

  • to show the benefits of rehabilitation in the home environment and to improve the acceptance of assistive technology in the home environment;
  • to establish new common high standards of care on the basis of clinical evidence that consider an effective use of ICT in the clinical practice;
  • to incorporate new technical developments into Progressive Rehabilitation Medicine (PRM) practice including administrative guidelines to provide the service.
Within the CLEAR Project, some relevant key-points have been established as mandatory actions towards the definition of service guidelines for the Habilis Telerehabilitation Service and, more generally, for telerehabilitation services.
Currently – one year after the beginning of the Project - some of the above points have already been studied, while some other will progressively deliver information till the end of the clinical trials and the project. Thus, the content of this section has to be considered under a continuous dynamic updating process.
The documents linked to this section report about tools and methodologies identified to investigate each of the above key-point. A deep insight into the above methodologies may be helpful to drive the implementation of the Telerehabilitation Service within different contexts or different target pathologies. Whenever possible, preliminary results and indications are reported too.
